In May 2006, Highlands Ranch residents voted to consolidate the four Metro District boards into one.  We are currently working on redesigning this section to reflect the change.

An Engineer/Manager at Lockheed Martin, Gary moved to Highlands Ranch in 1994 and has served as a Metro District director since 1999.  Gary is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Douglas County and is actively involved in Bicycle Douglas County and other volunteer activities.  In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, bicycling, tennis, racquetball and photography.  When asked about his key contributions as a Metro District Director, Gary answered, "Facilitating community-wide cooperation in achieving a broad spectrum of goals including support for the arts, well-defined roles for recreation programming and facilities development and a rational approach to meeting transportation requirements for the community."

Kim moved to Highlands Ranch in 1992 and was appointed to the Metro District Board in 2000. She is employed as a Youth Events Coordinator by the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) and is also a 2002 graduate of Leadership Dougals County. In her spare time, Kim and her husband Paul enjoy snow skiing, wakeboarding and camping with their four children. When asked about her key contributions as a Metro Districts Director, Kim answers, "I pledge to make informed decisions on issues with the best interests of the community in mind."


Andrea Menin-Giem

Born and raised in Denver, Andrea has lived in Highlands Ranch since 1995.  She is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School and Ft. Lewis College.  Her husband, Kyle, is also a Colorado native, and their son, born in 1999, is a fourth generation Coloradoan.  Andrea's free time is filled with skiing, hiking, camping and lots and lots of football.

Teresa moved to Highlands Ranch in 2000 and was appointed to the Metro District Board in 2005.  As a board member, she would like to inform her neighbors and friends about the Metro District's consolidation issue.  Teresa and her husband, Andrew, have hosted a haunted house for children in their neighborhood for the past five years.  Last year, almost 400 people toured the haunted house.  Teresa enjoys gardening, fishing, hiking, collecting baseball memorabilia and photography.  She and her husband have one daughter, Cindy, who is starting her sophomore year at the University of Colorado at Denver.
