Metro District Elections

The Metro District of Highlands Ranch hold director elections in May of even numbered years.  A director election was held May 6 this year.  Click here to view results of the election.

Registered voters who live in or own property in the Highlands Ranch Metro District may vote in these elections.

Recent legislation now enables Colorado voters to take advantage of permanent mail-in voter status. Formerly known as absentee ballots, voters can choose to vote using a mail-in ballot as opposed to voting at a poling place.

In the past, when a voter chose to participate using a mail (or absentee) ballot it was necessary to re-apply for a mail ballot each year. However, with the new legislation, voters who choose to use a mail-in ballot will continue to receive mail-in ballots until such time as they choose to vote differently.

Voters who want to vote mail-in (formerly known as absentee) for the 2008 election, may do so by obtaining and completing a Permanent Mail-In Ballot application.
