Natural Resources
& Environmental Services

In this section, you'll find information about the natural resource topics listed to the left.  Learn about our suburban forest, our Tree City USA recognition, the role of Metro District Park Rangers, mosquito control practices and more.

Take a virtual walk and see the diverse wildflowers that can be found in Highlands Ranch, find out how you can exercise your green thumb at our three community gardens, and learn how the Metro District manages our natural resources in the areas of open space, erosion control and prairie dogs.

For a number of years, the Metro District has provided and implemented a variety of earth friendly services, including Christmas tree and tree limb recycling, water conservation measures, phone book recycling, stormwater management and water quality programs, as well as outdoor education programs.

E-mail the Metro District at Information Please.  When sending email, please include your name and phone number so we may also have the option to call you to answer your questions.
