Access through Metro District fence
is not permitted. The Metro District staff enforces the rules and
regulations adopted by the board of directors. Homeowners are responsible
for any damage to the Metro District's fence caused by landscaping. The
Metro District owns up to 12 inches inside the fence on the property owner's
side. Please check to see if your landscape materials have caused damage
to the Metro District's fence. If you have questions about the Metro
District's fence, please contact Ed Biederbeck at
ebiederbeck@highlandsranch.org,
or at 720-240-5926.
Removal of all fences owned by the Metro District
is not permitted. Individuals who do so will receive a summons for a
mandatory court appearance in Douglas County court.
Alternative
fencing materials are being evaluated as
fence repairs are needed. The polyethylene fence to the left replaced a section of
wooden fence after an auto accident at the Highlands Ranch Parkway/Montclair intersection.
The Metro District is investigating several fence material samples that are
installed along the north side of Highlands Ranch Parkway east of Broadway.
