Learn to Skate & Learn to Play Hockey Programs

Programs are offered in cooperation between the South Suburban Parks & Recreation District and the Highlands Ranch Metro District. The South Suburban Ice Arena offers group lessons for a wide variety of skating abilities from the first-time-skating three-year-old to the adult advanced skater. They offer a comprehensive program utilizing elements from both the Ice Skating Institute of America and United States Figure Skating Association. The South Suburban Ice Arena is located at 6580 S. Vine St. in Centennial.

Classes are divided into the following categories:

  • Parent-Tot, parent & child skate together, ages three to four. A fun introduction of ice skating.
  • Pre 1-4, ages four through six.
  • Level 1-7 & Freestyle 1-4, Advanced FS & Dance, ages seven through 17.
  • Hockey 1-4, ages five through 15 who passed
    Pre 4 or Level 3.
