RECREATION COORDINATOR

Highlands Ranch Metro District is currently accepting applications for a full-time Recreation Coordinator for our Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department.  Successful candidate will be an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a strong desire to provide excellent customer service and recreation opportunities to our community.

This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday with evenings and weekends required.

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, this position plans, schedules, and implements recreation programs for both youth and adults.  Duties will include coordination and scheduling of leagues, volunteers, officials, clinics, and camps.  Responsibilities also include program marketing, budget preparation, sponsorship solicitation, and special event management.

Applicants must have a degree in Recreation or closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years practical experience.  Knowledge of sports, officiating, and general recreation practices are necessary.  Certification in CPR and First Aid required within six (6) months of employment.  Applicants must also have exceptional customer service skills.  A valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record are also required.

PARK SERVICES TECHNICIAN I

The Highlands Ranch Metro District, Parks, Recreation and Open Space is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill our Park Services Technician I position. If you enjoy meeting the public and can provide outstanding customer service to our park visitors, don’t miss the opportunity to apply!

This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week. You must be able to work a flexible work schedule which includes weekends.

The responsibilities of this position include maintenance of restrooms and shelters in the District’s parks and the community’s elementary school sports fields. Duties include:

·    Removal of trash from receptacles and pick up of ground trash located in the District’s parks and sports fields, shelters and elementary school fields.

·    Cleaning of restrooms located in the District’s parks and the community’s elementary schools.

·    Enforcement and education of District’s rule sign policy.

·    Preparation of facilities for large community events and small individual parties held in the District’s parks and shelters.

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to apply. A high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record are required. Excellent customer service skills are necessary for this position. Pre-employment drug screening will be conducted.
