The Great Horned Owl is one of the first birds of prey to nest. They typically nest with large sticks built by other birds. Watching a family with owlets is a favorite springtime nature pastime. In this class, you’ll learn with a park ranger about owls’ distinctive nocturnal behavior, look through a spotting score and binoculars at a resident owl’s nest. You’ll also dissect pellets and get hands on with wings, talons and skulls.
Children 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
