Douglas County has contracted with RESPEC to conduct storm sewer outfall inspections throughout Highlands Ranch. These inspections will be starting in the next month and will be occurring until September 2026. 

The storm sewer outfalls are located within Metro District parks and open space and occasionally on the edges of private property near parks and open space. 

There should be no traffic impacts, but residents will see personnel out taking photos, investigating the locations and measuring pipes during this time. Douglas County appreciates your patience as they continue to gather information for future maintenance projects that may be needed on the storm sewer system.
