The community conversation about the future of Historic Park continues this summer, and residents still have two chances to attend a meeting and share their thoughts. Join us at the Highlands Ranch Senior Center, 200 E. Highlands Ranch Parkway, for one of two identical meetings on:
- Wednesday, July 22, at 3 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m.
What to expect at a community meeting
Metro District staff will begin with a 15-minute presentation covering the property's history, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions directly. Residents can then take part in an interactive exercise, voting on the activities they would most like to see at Historic Park (from history demonstrations and trails to gardens and community events). Residents will also get to vote on the priorities they believe are most important to keep in mind including many options such as showcasing our agricultural heritage, connecting with nature, and maintaining compatibility with neighboring homes.
Other ways to participate
Can't make it to a meeting? A communitywide survey will be available this fall, giving all residents a chance to weigh in on potential future uses for the property.
