Join us for a summer favorite in Highlands Ranch. Enjoy $3 all-you-can-eat ice cream treats and snow cones at the Ice Cream Social, 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Civic Green Park.
Guests can get their hand stamped for all-you-can-eat frozen treats for $3. The event is cash only and all proceeds will be donated to the Backpack Society, a Highlands Ranch food pantry. Event sponsors Walmart and Highlands Ranch Orthodontics are generously providing the ice cream treats and snow cones.
The event will feature activities and live entertainment for all ages. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will recognize National Night Out in Highlands Ranch that evening, bringing patrol vehicles, K-9, mounted patrol, a SWAT truck and more. South Metro Fire Rescue will have engines and safety demonstrations on display. In addition, guests will enjoy performances from the Highlands Ranch Concert Band and Swing Shift Band. There will also be local vendor booths to visit, and three food trucks will offer a variety of dinner options.
Civic Green Park is located at 9370 S. Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch. Parking will be available in the RTD parking lot and garage across Ridgeline Boulevard from the park. Green Ash Street between Ridgeline Boulevard and Burgundy Street will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
There is no event parking in the library parking lot as it needs to be available for library patrons. Also, please be aware that Civic Green Park has a strict no dogs policy.
