A variety of vegetables and plants grow in a fenced-in community garden.

If you enjoy being outdoors in the sunshine, getting your hands dirty, and watching Mother Nature at work, gardening may be for you. It’s a fun and healthy activity for the entire family.

The Metro District has three organic gardens, which each have amended soil, a water source, trash receptacle, organic waste bin and a fenced area. Grow your favorite flowers and vegetables between May 1 and Oct. 30 each year.

Plots are 10 feet by 20 feet. One plot is allowed per household.
2025 Fees: Resident: $60   Nonresident: $69
