Looking for an attractive and affordable venue?

The Highlands Ranch Senior Center has a variety of options for hosting social events or meetings on weekday evenings and weekends. They include:

A large multipurpose area, with maximum capacity 240. The multipurpose area can be divided into three rooms, with rentals available for one, two or all three of the rooms.
Meeting rooms, with capacities ranging from 25 to 95.
A kitchen, which includes a sink, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven and ice machine.

Prices for the various options are listed under Rental Rates. Please refer to the FAQ section for more details about renting space at the senior center.

What is included in the rental fee?

When do I have to pay for the rooms?

How many people can fit around a round table?

What are the room capacities?

The room capacities depend on the type of event and setup requirements.

With tables and chairs: Multipurpose Rooms 1 & 3 can accommodate up to 64 people, Multipurpose Room 2 can accommodate up to 112 people. Adding a stage or serving tables can reduce this number.
Standing capacities: Multipurpose Room 1 & 3 - 90 people and Multipurpose Room 2 - 150 people.

Is additional setup and clean-up time included?

What is included in the kitchen rental rate?

Is the patio included in the rental fee?

Do I have to hire my own caterer, or can I bring my own food?

You can bring in your own food or hire a caterer.

If a caterer is used, the renter must be present for all deliveries and pickups. Senior center staff will not be responsible for receiving deliveries or removing property of the renter.

It is strongly recommended that the renter purchase special event insurance to cover any claims against the caterer, their guests, employees, agents or themselves.

What decorations can be used?

What audio/visual equipment is available in the rental rooms?

The following audiovisual equipment is available for use when renting the multipurpose room: Podium, handheld microphone and lavalier microphone.

For multipurpose room 2 only, rentals have access to a projector and screen. Music can be played through the speakers using Bluetooth.

In the activity room, game room and classroom, there is a smart TV with lavalier microphone. All rooms are equipped with a hearing loop and receivers.

How much is the security deposit, and what does it cover?

The security deposit is 50% of the total rental cost and must be paid at least 30 days prior to the rental.

The deposit is collected for potential damage to the building, grounds and areas used by the renter. A senior center employee will check the room(s) at the end of the rental. Any damage will be documented and the cost for repair/replacement will be deducted from the deposit. All deposits will be processed within 10 business days of the rental (unless damage fees are still being calculated).
