The Metro District’s summer softball programs are geared towards the recreational through advanced level ball player. Our leagues focus on learning skills, developing fundamentals, learning rules, and game play/strategies. But most importantly -- having fun and playing with friends.

Waitlists will apply once leagues are full or after the registration deadline.

Type of Play*:

• Age 7-8: Coach Pitch (beginner to intermediate players and teams)
• Age 9-10: Modified Kid Pitch (players have the chance to pitch on a limited basis)
• Age 11-14: Kid Pitch (players of all skill levels)

 *Players ages 7-12 may play up one age group. Divisions may be combined if necessary. Ages 9+ will have an end-of-season tournament included in the fee.

The Metro District is proud to offer softball and baseball camps in association with HitStreak. HitStreak is a Centennial-based baseball and softball training organization, focused on building players skills, character, confidence and leadership.

Camps focus on developing the basic fundamentals of hitting, throwing, and defense while also touching on game strategy, defensive positioning, etc.

Required equipment: glove, bat, helmet, hat and water bottle. Players should wear shorts, sweats or baseball pants and cleats.

Are you looking for a great summer job with flexible hours? The Metro District hires qualified umpires each summer for the baseball and girls softball seasons. Training is provided by a Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) certified umpire, who will go in depth on rules and game situations for both baseball and softball.

Participants choose one of the dates below to attend, during which skills will be learned both in the classroom and on the field.
